Ohio Innovation Fund

Founded in 1997, Ohio Innovation Fund I, L.P. is a venture capital partnership based in Cleveland which invests in early-stage technology companies primarily in Ohio. The Fund is committed to generating superior financial returns for its investors and enhancing the economic well being of Ohio and the Midwest region through high-technology job creation and the leveraging of invested capital.

The principals of the Fund take an active role in investments and apply over forty years of business development experience to bridge the gap between start-up and long-term success.

Ohio Innovation Fund typically invests $250,000 to $500,000 in the first round of venture capital financing and invests up to $1.25 million based on milestones.

The Fund has several key relationships that are advantageous to the identification and development of technology-based investment opportunities. The Fund’s Limited Partners include a number of large technology-based corporations that assist the Fund in evaluating investment opportunities, and in speeding market entry for funded technologies.

The Fund also has established special relationships with a number of intermediaries, including the Edison Technology Centers and Incubators that also assist in identification, evaluation, and support for funded technologies.
